Powell Hall | Valdosta State University - Valdosta, GA

Originally built in 1939 as the campus library and inaugurated by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Powell Hall was transformed into a dedicated facility for Valdosta State University’s Music Department. The adaptive reuse restored the building’s historic collegiate Gothic character while introducing a new recital hall, performance-ready lobby, faculty studios, classrooms, and student gathering spaces. Modern building systems and ADA upgrades were sensitively integrated, preserving original architectural details while meeting current codes.
