McIntosh House | Georgia College & State University - Milledgeville, GA

McIntosh House, dating back to 1829, is the oldest historic building on GCSU’s campus, situated across from the Old Governor’s Mansion. Originally a residence and grocery store, the building has seen multiple additions over its 150+ year history. This renovation restored the historic exterior while updating the interior to meet modern building and accessibility standards, including widening the interior stair to 36 inches, adding a handicap ramp, and modifying the porch for full first-floor wheelchair access.
