Academy of Medicine | Georgia Institute of Technology - Atlanta, GA
Built in 1941 and designed by renowned architect Philip T. Shutze, the Neo-Classical Academy of Medicine is a City of Atlanta Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Originally serving as a meeting place for physicians and home to the Medical Association of Atlanta, the 20,000 SF building features a main floor and fully finished basement. In 2008, it was gifted to the Georgia Tech Foundation and now serves as a premier event and meeting venue. The renovation project achieved LEED Gold certification, preserving the building’s historic character while elevating its sustainability and functionality.
